re APTN news calling Thunder Bay Bloody Murder Capial

You don't know what it is? An anomaly? I know exactly what the problem is Mr. Hobbs. Grow a set. And it's 10 ! As for FWFN ... Did she just blame remote communities and our failure to provide programming? Must I list all the native advocacy agencies once again. Take responsibility ! Tell people the truth. This behaviour alone has fostered, engendered and perpetuated the notion of lawlessness! Take a strong stand against criminal activity and ensure ALL people are safe.

Tamara wins her court case!

Remember when my landlords ( 22 native bands) told be to keep my views to myself ... Well guess who won that court case? Me. Today is a good day!

Yet another mistake out of John Hannams Office

re; Alvin Fiddlers press release about Methadone Clinics in Thunder Bay

Can't sell something ..if no one is buying it. "Thunder Bay, with a population of about 110,000, has seven clinics that provide methadone to people as a treatment for addictions to injection drugs. Toronto, with a population of about 4.5 million people, lists 11 methadone clinics."
What really interests me is that he focuses blame on government/doctors for the number of addiction treatment centres in our community instead of simply addressing this problem head on ..Let's loo...k at the number of health centres and programs available in relation to health in general for native people. That's a lot of places and services concerned with health now isn't it. Don't continue to point the finger .. that somehow we failed you and your people. Here's an idea just don't do drugs! http://www.northwesthealthline.ca/listServices.aspx…

Murder Capital of Canada

I am told it is now official. We are officially the “Murder Capital of Canada.” And, some say, we are the “Murder Capital of North America.” Hobbs promised he would put Thunder Bay “on the map” and he certainly has accomplished that. Aided, of course, by his good buddy Police Chief Levesque.
Our City is literally under siege. There are those walking among us who will slash, cut, and kill; they will rob and break into homes. And what are our “City fathers” doing? They are... occupying their time signing up every part- time visitor at our College, our University, and at Shelter House, to vote for Hobbs. They will vote in this election, but they have never even dreamed of actually living here and paying taxes here.
We have several murderers living among us. Don’t try to tell me crime in this City isn’t radically out of control. Don’t try to tell me the City is safe, that people can walk our streets after dark. Don’t try to tell me that our crime statistics aren’t being “doctored” to hide the truth from us. And don’t give me the Hobbs family line that “they knew each other.” I am tired of the same damn excuses.
Hobbs and Levesque, aided by the cowardly silence and inaction of every last one of the puppets on our City Council, have engendered, fostered, and, in effect, created, an environment and culture of glorification and lawlessness that is now haunting each and every one of us and has destroyed the reputation of our fine City. Under the stewardship of Hobbs, our City has become the dumping ground for every societal dreg in this District. And we, the citizens, pay the price of their criminality.
Nothing will change until YOU – the voters, the tax payers - DEMAND CHANGE.
Nothing will change until YOU CHANGE IT.
Part- time visitors at our learning institutions and those stopping by the Shelter House for a quick glass of “chardonnay” aren’t going to change anything. The only thing they want to change is the hour of “closing time.”
Nothing will change until YOU throw Hobbs and this cowardly Council out on their politically correct asses. If not now…when?
If elected, I promise you faithfully that I will DEMAND that our Federal Government step in and assist this City in clearing these deranged, murdering, criminals out. Immediately! And not at our expense.
This is not just a Municipal issue. It is a Federal - soon to become a National - issue and you can bet your ass I have the courage to not only recognize it for what it is, but to confront and deal with it effectively.
Voters give me the chance and I will force our next Mayor and Council to openly support me and assist me in making our City safe. Voters, it is truly unbelievable that I am the only candidate, the only political aspirant in this entire City, who has the back bone to speak out and openly, publicly, confront these crucial issues.
    Unbelievable.

And that's the way I see it folks!

And that's the way I see it folks!

Tamara comments on the last murder, Hobbs etc

I say “will it take the death of a “white boy” to galvanize Hobbs and Levesque and our cowardly council into demonstrative action to fight crime in Thunder Bay” and the native response was predominately negative. I’m not saying all natives, because some natives understand that I am saying natives are not expendable.
This City’s last murder victim was a true tragedy. This young man came to Thunder Bay to better himself, get an education, and look what happened. In my last post I said don’t native people deserve protection? And yet, some still call me a racist? I am standing up and speaking out for everyone in Thunder Bay.
Several of you have taken exception to my recent statement that Hobbs, in effect, issued a “license” to all the crazies to “get me.” It’s absolutely true. When Hobbs declared “open season” on me, he didn’t care what affect his words had on my reputation, or on my personal safety.
The following is an example of what I am speaking of and was sent to me from a genius by the name of Nick Lingner: “I hope you get throat raped and a train ran on you by the biggest f.. IP’s ( Indian Posse) this side of Stony Mountain, stupid f.. c.. gtfo out of politics and keep popping your xanax or whatever benzo your doctors have put you on.. I hope your whole family drops dead of cancer.”
Hobbs did not care that I have the right to freedom of thought and expression. Nor, did Hobbs care, that every word I said was true. Hobbs only concern in attacking me was to selfishly promote himself as some form of arbiter of what constitutes examples of hate and racism. Hobbs determined that my statements that “no one is above the law” and “ no one can illegally blockade our roads” qualified.
In actuality, my words were an expression of truth and plain common sense. Hobbs words were a perversion of truth and common sense and were simply a selfish, transparent, reckless, attempt to pander to native voters and ultra- liberal, pseudo-intellectual, wing nuts.
I will go to my grave believing no one is above the law and that no one has the right to commit illegal acts to advance or promote their cause. What’s more, until then, I will continue to shout it from the roof tops.
If you disagree, you have already accepted your role as “second class citizens” and are playing into the hands of the law breakers. More importantly, you are doing a serious disservice to your children and grandchildren.
Opposition to my words has never been predicated on the truth of what I am saying.
Opposition to my words has always been based on the fact some dislike what I am saying, coupled with resentment that someone had the courage to come out and say it.
A better comment someone could have made would be “how does all this translate into an issue involved in municipal politics?”
Simple.
First it shows Hobbs to be the worthless phoney that he is and, secondly, I have proven I have the courage to stand up and take a vocal, public, stand on issues that affect tax payers, but are to politically controversial for the weak and meek office seekers and incumbents to discuss. When that occurs, you - the tax payer - have no voice.
Voters, if elected, this leopard isn’t going to change her spots.

I came across this today

I came across this today ... Now really if you're going to discuss being "inclusive " you would have simply left your ethnicity out .... No? I'm Polish, Ukrainian, German, British etc.... And guess what ... No one really gives two shits... Why should your race even matter ...
Vote for Hobbs on October 27th if you think pandering to FN people is ok!

Comments on the Reward offered by Tamara

Bravo Dale Bolton
Wow Clifford Collins you are one ignorant person. It was First Nations people who saw it as a bounty. A bounty because it was a reward that was offered by a non First Nations person. A reward for a hate crime that was done against a non Aboriginal person, by Aboriginals. Now if those roles were reversed, and a Native person was swarmed by a bunch of non Natives, and had the living shit beat out of them, non Aboriginals would not call a reward a bounty. ...It would be a reward. It is your ignorance which continues the hatred. It is YOUR ignorance of constantly being the victim which is making things worse.
How can one group of people turn a positive like a reward into information on a crime, into a negative? It seems ANYTHING that deals with bringing First Nations criminals to answer for their crimes, is racist. We do NOT see Tamara as what you ignorant people see her as. I say this as an Aboriginal. She is advocating for equality. It appears what you and your ilk want, is to stay above the law, and continue being more equal than others.
The longer you continue to refuse to take responsibility for the actions of your people, your leaders, and your youth, the more people are going to continue to look down on you. The more you try to make yourself look like the victim, when in fact you are the ones committing the crimes, the more credibility you are going to lose. And finally, the more your leaders steal from you, and your ignorance continues to blame the white man, the more people are going to want your politicians on the same playing field as every other publicly elected official in Canada.
So continue your ignorance, continue crying wolf, continue blaming everyone else for your problems. Until you look in the mirror and start realizing that you have to take responsibility, no one is going to listen to you, and no one is going to care. The fact that NAN and other leaders have stayed silent on the amount of Aboriginal violence in Thunder Bay, shows that it's obvious no one wants to take responsibility. The fact that NAN and other leaders refuse to address the situation, and that chiefs from the reserves these criminals have come from have not even commented on a single one, shows that they don't care.
It is you and people like you who continue the cycle of hate Clifford Collins. People who think they are better than everyone else, people who think that the colour of their skin make them more important. People who refuse to believe that Aboriginal on Aboriginal violence is a serious issue and MUST be addressed by all Aboriginal leaders, instead of them sticking their heads in the ground and waiting for it to be over. The people of Thunder Bay are sick and tired of the Aboriginal crime. The people of FWFN are sick and tired of Aboriginal crime, because the majority of our Aboriginal crime is being committed by out of town reserve members who obviously have no idea how to act human.

Urgent Lunch Meetings

Tamara Johnson

    News Feed

Now isn't that special. How do you stop a fundamental human right of freedom of thought, expression, speech etc??? I want to hold a lunch meeting too..
URGENT Lunch meeting to challenge and resist MORONS!

There must be firm and decisive action

Damn straight ...."Then there must be firm and decisive action to require chiefs and band councils in the Far North and receiving agencies in Thunder Bay to assume greater control and responsibility for the young men and women who come to our city full of hope and apprehension. Their dreams must be realized, not crushed."
Aboriginal Liaison Strategy office ...again.. Total, an utter failure and complete waste of our tax dollars. It's optics folks... A show boat office ..

Thunder Bay Votes

Thunder Bay Votes is a huge campaign encouraging people to get out an vote. But what is this campaign costing ? Who is paying for it? More importantly, offering bribes like Steak dinners is down right tacky and pretty exclusive to other privately owned restaurants in our community!

It should be noted that after my original post it was brought to my attention that the city was not following it's own sign bylaw. Vote signs are being placed on boulevards, by roadsides, and on telephone poles. Places were candidates are not allowed to place election signs. Not a very good role model for citizens!

Thunder Bays Wasted Election

Bravo Livio Di Matteo! Lakehead University Economist here again, pointing out the obvious! Please read, it's a good one!

By Livio Di Matteo The current municipal election is a wasted opportunity for debating important civic issues because of the fixation on the event centre. Even when media coverage of the issues veers into areas like taxes and infrastructure, the candidates inevitably swing back to how those topics r…
